General Information

Suggested Workshops for Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Furniture Makers
The following classes are recommended to students who are new to woodworking: Tool Tune-Up (required), Basic Joinery, Mortice and Tenon, Build a One-drawer End Table, Introduction to Woodcarving, Introduction to Veneering and Make a Sand-Shaded Fan.

Make a Pie-Crust Tray and Carve a Ball & Claw Foot are recommended for woodworkers who are interested in wood sculpture and who already have some experience using carving tools.

Mastering Federal Oval Inlay is for advanced woodworkers who already have some experience with inlay and cutting marquetry.

Please include in your email registration your name, address, a preferred contact method and the name of the class for which you are registering. Payment is required by the beginning of your class. Cash and checks are accepted. We do not accept credit cards. Your cash or check payment will be deposited after you complete the class. You will be notified in advance if we cancel a class.

Shop Safety
Woodworking is inherently dangerous. Students are required to sign a waiver of liability before work begins.

Lunches
Pack your lunch and eat it in the shop or visit one of the many restaurants in Sunbury to the east or I-71 to the west of the shop.

Tools and Materials
Students are to bring their own tools to the shop. Tool lists are provided on the Tools & Supplies page for each of the courses and include links to online retailers. Email any questions you have about tools to me or you may call the shop Monday-Saturday 10:00-6:00 EST at 740-972-6304.
